Ray Swash (BRE, MTS)

Ray Swash is the lead and teaching pastor and loves to connect with people. After having owned his own businesses for almost 20 years, leaving his mark on the business world it was then God had something different in store for he and his wife, Sandra. God began to prepare and call Ray in becoming a pastor.

During this time God began to implant in Ray a vision to start a church that was a bit different…a church that would be relevant…a church that would strive for excellence…a church where people could genuinely connect with God. He also sensed an opportunity to plant a church with a passion for people who weren't into church, nor connecting with God.

It's here Ray finds the passion of his own heart; seeing God work within the hearts of all people. Check out Ray's Blog

Tim Moore

Tim Moore is a musician, singer and song writer. His passion is to encourage others to use their gifts and talents to express a passionate lifestyle of worship. Tim and his wife Andra have a heart for Burlington. He pastors in the city he's lived in all his life and desires to see the people of Burlington come to know God in a personal life changing way.

He hopes to see this generation living out their God given purposes. He enjoys leading others in the worship styles of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Hillsong United and David Crowder. He also mentions many other positive influences from his young years - the Beatles and of course his own personal favorite U2 - each helping to produce Tim's uniqueness and appreciation for music.

Andra Moore (BRE)

Growing up in a family of nine likely contributed to Andra’s love and dedication to nurturing and relating to children of all ages. Andra has over 15 year’s experience working with children and studied Early Childhood Education at Sheridan College. After working in the childcare field for several years Andra felt God leading her back to pursue theological training which she did through Masters College and Seminary.

While working to complete her Bachelor of Religious Education degree Andra worked on staff at Evangel Pentecostal Church in Oakville leading and directing a discipleship school for University students. After marrying Tim she joined him at the Sanctuary Burlington and once again found herself returning to her roots of working with children. Andra loves traveling and is passionate about advocating for the rights of those born into poverty and injustice. Andra believes that all children whether rich or poor have the right to know that they are loved and valued by both God and by the world around them. Andra sees her role at the Sanctuary as one who would stand beside parents and caregivers to support them as they tackle the awesome task of nurturing and raising their children. It is important to Andra that children understand that, God is real, God loves them, and that there is no better life than a life that is lived for Christ.

Chris Love (BTh)

Born and raised in Burlington, Chris was a devout atheist until he was 22 and lived the typical lifestyle of partying with heavy use of drugs, drinking and other things. He encountered God at the age of 22, part of that encounter happened at the Sanctuary Burlington during my journey. After coming to know Christ he started helping out at a local drop in center for high risk teens (or at risk teens, as they are called now). Serving there for a little over a year, eventually running the drop in nights and serving as well in a counselor role. Shortly thereafter, Chris came to the Sanctuary Burlington and served for a little over a year as a youth leader, running the first youth program here.

It was then that Chris felt God's leading for personal growth in a deeper relationship with God and the sensing of God's call on his life in ministry. After going on the Sanctuary's mission trip to Chile Chris flew out to Alberta and looked at a Bible college which he would attend for the next four years. Chris writes "It was a very difficult four years but an invaluable four years of education, hands on ministry and intensive learning both in and out of the classroom. As I was finishing up my last year I could tell that I was being led to come back to the Sanctuary to continue what I started here originally, only now better equipped to do the job."

Chris has a passion is people. along with a heart for growth in Theology and Philosophy as they often surface throughout a conversation, blending together to help him see God working in people's lives in very different ways. Chris joins The Sanctuary team as Youth & Young Adult Pastor.
